Retiring on an exotic island surrounded by sun, sea and sand is a dream for many people. Indonesia is a stunning archipelago comprising of thousands of islands all with their very own character and charm. Therefore, it is no wonder why every year, people decide to enjoy their retirement years on one of Indonesia’s paradise islands.

To obtain a retirement visa, the process is relatively simple and the requirements are fairly straightforward. The main requirement is age, whereby you must be at least 60 years old to apply.

Once you have obtained your Retirement Visa, there are a multitude of benefits, which include:

• Entering and exiting the country freely.
• The ability to lease land.
• Allowed to open a bank account.

WHY TO GET A KITAS?

First and foremost, without it, you won’t stay longer in Indonesia. Plus there are several additional perks when holding a KITAS. Often you get discounts in restaurants, or attraction parks (mainly in Jakarta or Bali). Hospitals also usually have lower price-lists for KITAS holders.

You need a KITAS to apply for your Indonesian driving license. If you want to enroll your kids into an international school, they also usually check whether the child has a KITAS or not.

In some cases, after holding a KITAS for five years, one could apply for a KITAP which allows you to stay for five years with unlimited extensions.

• ID Scan of passport with validity min. 18 months, empty pages min. 4
  pages.
• Bank statement min. USD 1500.
• Lease house agreement in Bali.
• Address in Bali (based on lease agreement).
• Valid Insurance.
• ID card Landlord (Bali).
• ID card Personal Maid (Bali).
• Statement letter from your personal maid.
• Last stamp visa validity (For onshore).
• Photo with red background.
• Minimum age to apply is 60 years old.
