WHO IS IT FOR AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

The Working Visa / Working KITAS is intended for foreigners that are employed to work in Indonesia for more than a few months. It is the most comprehensive working permit you can get and allows the user to actively earn income, open bank accounts, pay taxes, get a mobile phone etc.

To obtain a working permit you need to work for a company that is registered within Indonesia. This entity can be either a Foreign Owned Company (PMA), a Representative Office or an Indonesian Owned Company.

The length of your working visa can vary between 6 & 12 months depending on your job title; the validity being approved by Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower. In general, Directors, Commissioners & Senior Managers can obtain a 12-month extendable permit, whereas advisors can only get a 6 month, non-extendable visa.

WHY TO GET A KITAS?

First and foremost, without it, you won’t get a work permit and stay longer in Indonesia. Plus there are several additional perks when holding a KITAS. Often you get discounts in restaurants, or attraction parks (mainly in Jakarta or Bali). Hospitals also usually have lower price-lists for KITAS holders.

You need a KITAS to apply for your Indonesian driving license. If you want to enroll your kids into an international school, they also usually check whether the child has a KITAS or not.

In some cases, after holding a KITAS for five years, one could apply for a KITAP which allows you to stay for five years with unlimited extensions.

• Passport front page photo.
• Curriculum Vitae / CV (Resume).
• Last certificate from University.
• Birth Certificate.
• 4 x 6 photo of applicant in red background and wearing a suit.
• Proof Vaccine 2 doses (For offshore).
• Last stamp visa validity (For onshore).
• Valid Health Insurance.
• Work insurance BPJS.
• Health insurance BPJS.
• Personal Bank Statement or Company Bank Statement Min. USD 2,000.
• KTP TKI Pendamping (Indonesian counterpart workers).
• 4 x 6 photo TKI Pendamping in red background.
• The last Wajib Lapor Online.
• Address in Bali.
• Name of airport when first time enter Indonesia after get the telex.
• Prepare USD 1,200 for Foreign Worker Tax / DPKK.
• All scans must be in color.
• The minimum passport validity period is 18 months.
• Must have at least 4 blank pages on the passport.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS :

• Notary Deed.
• Decree Notary Deed.
• Copy of Company Tax Identification Number (NPWP)
• OSS documents (NIB, Business license, and Location Permit).
• ID card Local Staff Balinese.
• Username and password Visa online.
• Username and password TKA online.
